Our Story
Top Hat Tutors was founded in 2013 in Westport, Connecticut by Charlie Jersey. What started as a handful of local high schoolers helping younger students in their own neighborhood has grown into a trusted tutoring network serving families across Fairfield County, including Westport, Fairfield, Norwalk, Darien, Weston, and Wilton.
Our tutors know what it's like to struggle through classes in the high pressure environment of Fairfield County. Whether it's a single session or weekly support you need, we are happy to help you find a tutor!
Meet Our Leadership
Sophia Jaramillo
Hi! My name is Sophia Jaramillo, and I'm currently a senior at Staples High School. Throughout high school, I have completed or am currently taking AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Calculus AB, AP English Language, AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish Language, and AP Spanish Literature. I especially enjoy writing, math, and Spanish, but I'm excited to help with any subject! I'm the Managing Editor of Inklings, Staples' school newspaper, and serve as President of both the Service League of Girls and Females in Finance. I also love volunteering and staying involved in my community. Outside of school, I work at the Toy Post and enjoy watching TV shows. I'm looking forward to working with you this year!
Skye Coats
Hi! My name is Skye Coats and I am currently a senior at Staples High School in Westport. During my time at Staples so far, I have taken 8 Honors Classes, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP World History, and AP Government. I am currently enrolled in AP Statistics and AP Psychology. I am extremely passionate about the humanities, but I would love to help in any subject needed! Outside of school, I row for Connecticut Boat Club and am president and founder of the Architecture Club.
